Just In Case Arizona Preparedness Month Poster Contest
Congratulations, Wesley! His award winning design has been made into a poster for promotional use.
Much earlier this school year, we studied about disasters and emergency preparedness. I incorporated the concept into a Social Studies unit, the kids did a webquest and creating a poster displaying what they had learned was the final part of the quest. I mailed the posters to the Arizona Department of Health Services, as they were having an emergency preparedness contest. We did remarkably well in the contest and had many winners! I snapped a photo of every entry before I mailed them. Watch the slideshow below to see your child's entry! He or she will have to tell you which poster is theirs because names are on the back.
Below is the awards ceremony where winners in this contest, the Noetic Math challenge and some of the Mrs. P Be-a-Famous-Writer entries were honored.
